Villamartín Golf is a mature 18-hole course (par 72) from 1972 in Orihuela Costa. It is about a 15 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
After more than fifty years the planting here has properly grown in, and that shapes the game. You play between trees and shrubs that now define the holes, with views of the Mediterranean in places. The club names Robert Dean Puttman as the designer. It suits players who enjoy a course with character and history.
The best known hole is the 17th, a par 3 among Mediterranean pines where you carry a rambla, a dry riverbed, to reach a generous green. In 1997 the course hosted a qualifying event for the European circuit, and the club lists Seve Ballesteros, José María Olazábal and Ian Woosnam among those who have played here.

The refurbished clubhouse has a restaurant with a roof terrace overlooking the 18th. There is also a halfway terrace serving light food.
