Zenia Boulevard is a large open-air shopping centre in Orihuela Costa with about 150 shops and restaurants, and it is about a 10 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Open-air shopping on the southern Costa Blanca mostly happens here. On the ground floor you will find cafés and shops, plus big names such as Alcampo, Leroy Merlin and Decathlon. The first floor holds the restaurants and entertainment, including a bowling alley and a casino.
The central square has music, dance shows and children's activities in high season, and there are plenty of shaded terraces. Parking is free and plentiful, though you may have to hunt for a space at busy times.
The shops are generally open Monday to Saturday, and later in the evening in July and August. Sundays are different: from January to June the shops are usually closed and only food and entertainment stay open, while from July to December the whole centre is open. On Saturday mornings the La Zenia Street Market fills Calle Nicolás de Bussi, one long street of stalls. The Zenia Boulevard car park is a handy place to walk from.
