Playa de la Glea is a wide sandy beach in Dehesa de Campoamor, Orihuela Costa, and it is about a 15 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
With over 500 metres of golden sand and a width of about 70 metres, you have room here even in summer. It is also one of those places where the whole family can easily stay for a day. The water is clear and calm, and Campoamor-La Glea is on the 2026 Blue Flag list.
In high season you will find sunbed and parasol hire, toilets, showers, a lifeguard, water sports and a beach bar, plus an inflatable water park on the sea, which keeps children busy for hours. Note that none of this is there out of season, and a council fact sheet from 2025 does not even list sunbed hire. So check what is there that summer.
Parking was informal for a long time, on a large patch of land nearby. In 2026 the council was building an official car park next to the beach with 205 bays, six of them adapted. So you will find space a few minutes' walk away.
Our tip: with children
The inflatable water park makes this one of the most fun beaches with older children. Arrive early if you want to park close.
What else is there
Neighbouring Barranco Rubio has the marina, with sailing lessons and a restaurant.
Access
Walkways lead on to the beach, with foot showers at the exit.
