Playa Punta Prima is a short 234 metre beach at the northern end of Orihuela Costa, and it is about a 10 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
This is a small beach: 234 metres long, about 6,500 square metres in size, with golden sand and in an area full of apartments. A boulevard runs along the sea, and there is a lift for people with disabilities.
In the summer months there are lifeguards, sunbeds and parasols for hire and a beach bar for a drink or snack, along with toilets and a restaurant. The beach is on the 2026 Blue Flag list. Because the water is usually calm, it is a good choice with children. Do watch the flag, and remember that lifeguards are only there in summer.
The region says nothing about parking. Expect to use the streets in the area, with some hunting in summer. If it is full, Cala Estaca is not far.
Our tip: SPK Carne Piedra
A grill and steakhouse here in Punta Prima. You cook the meat at your table on a hot volcanic stone. Worth booking.
Our tip: SoleLuna
Pizzas, pastas, burgers and cocktails on Calle Escorpiones 2B.
The lift
Thanks to the lift, this is one of the easier beaches to reach if you are unsteady on your feet. Ask on site how it works.
