Vistabella Golf is an 18-hole course by Manuel Piñero in Jacarilla, inland in the Vega Baja, which you can also play as 9-hole rounds. It is about a 30 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Away from the coast, on more than 40 hectares of native trees and Mediterranean shrubs. Three large pines form the club's logo, which tells you what the setting is about. Designer Manuel Piñero played on the European Tour and represented Spain in the Ryder Cup, and the course started with 11 holes before it grew to 18.
Worth knowing: 9-hole rounds are on offer too. That is useful if you want to play in the morning and lie by the pool in the afternoon, or if one of you wants a shorter walk. Anyone after lessons can turn to the academy.
Academy
The Neil Fyfe Academy has 23 practice bays, some covered, on mats and natural grass, with lighting for evening practice. There is also a putting green by the clubhouse and a practice bunker.
Beside the course
