El Valle Golf is an 18-hole course (par 71, 6,185 metres from the whites) by Nicklaus Design in Baños y Mendigo, opened in 2007. It is about a 40 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
A dry, ochre landscape with tall limestone towers, and between them a green course you will not quickly forget. The ground rolls a good deal. There are 115 bunkers and two big lakes that divide and frame the 13th and 14th and the 17th and 18th. Add waterfalls you would not expect in this dry landscape.
The tourist board says the course mainly rewards the player's intelligence, which fits its shape: pick the wrong bunker and your round quickly changes. In 2010 and 2011 El Valle hosted the Spanish professional competition and the second stage of the European Tour School. For those who like a course with a distinct character.
