Bonalba Golf is an 18-hole course by Ramón Espinosa in Mutxamel near Alicante, 2 kilometres from San Juan beach. It is about 1 hour 5 minutes by car from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Wide, generous fairways of Bermuda grass, but do not get carried away: plenty of bunkers and five big lakes affect seven holes, and the greens are large with a good deal of movement. So the round is mostly decided on the green. The club calls it a very balanced design, with many trees, lakes and fountains.
Good for those who want to show off the long game and can then read a green calmly. You are further from the apartment here than at the Vega Baja courses, so plan it as part of a day in and around Alicante rather than a quick round.
Note on practice
The range is 150 metres with 15 bays and is meant for beginners and seniors. Drivers, woods and hybrids are not allowed. There are also two putting greens, an approach area and a bunker.
