Alicante Golf is an 18-hole course (par 72) by Severiano Ballesteros on the San Juan beach near Alicante. It is about 1 hour by car from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Seve knew what he wanted: six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s, in an order where you never play two consecutive holes of the same par. So you keep changing club and thinking all round, and you hardly settle into a fixed rhythm. Good if you enjoy variety.
The course is close to the sea and a short distance from the city. There are five big lakes which, according to the tourist board, come into play on 12 of the 18 holes, so an accurate iron pays off quickly. Lunch in town and then play is easy to combine here.
