Xàbia, Jávea in Spanish, lies between the capes of Sant Antoni and La Nau and is known for its views and bays. It is about 1 hour 55 minutes by car from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Come by car. The Ruta de los Miradores links 15 viewpoints between sea and mountains, from Cap de Sant Antoni with its windmills to Cap de la Nau. On the way you pass the Séquia de la Nòria, with old Roman salt pans and wild cliffs. You can drive the route or walk it in sections.
The bays are the other story. Cala Granadella is the most spectacular, with forest almost down to the water. Cala de la Barraca, also called Portitxol, sits between cliffs with old fishermen's houses and an islet opposite, protected for its wildlife and archaeology. For services and a promenade, Playa del Arenal is the choice.
In between, walk through the old town, with noble houses, hermitages and small squares around the 16th century Iglesia de San Bartolomé. Above it all is the Parque Natural del Montgó, with routes past windmills and hermitages and plenty of birdlife.
