Terra Natura is an animal park in Benidorm with about 1,500 animals from 200 species, and it is about 1 hour 25 minutes by car from Lago Rosa Apartment.
The makers call it zooimmersion: the animals live in surroundings made to look as natural as possible, with barriers you can hardly see. Visit Benidorm describes it as a new-generation zoo. The park is split into themed areas, such as Pangea and America and Asia, with elephants, lions, tigers, rhinos and exotic birds among others. About fifty of the species are threatened with extinction.

Next door is the Aqua Natura water park, and a combination ticket is available. That is handy if your children want a swim after a day of animals, but do expect a long day. For the animal park alone, allow several hours.
