- Driving time
- About 1 hour 15 minutes by car
- Area
- Marina Baixa
- Sight
Coasteering is a guided trip along and through the sea, on the cliffs at Villajoyosa, and Villajoyosa is about 1 hour 15 minutes by car from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Picture this: you swim across a bay, climb a rocky ledge and jump off the far side. That is coasteering. At Villajoyosa you do it with a guide along the cliffs, with simple climbs out of the water, playing in the waves and jumps from various heights. The jumps are optional, so you choose how high you go.
Allow a few hours. Alicante Aventura, based in Villajoyosa, and Grieta Aventura both offer these trips. Equipment such as a wetsuit, life jacket and helmet comes with the operators, along with insurance and a qualified guide.
If you swim well and have no fear of heights, it makes a good change from the beach. The minimum age varies by operator, so ask if you are bringing older children.
Our tip: book with Alicante Aventura
This is the operator from our welcome book: alicanteaventura.com. They are based in Villajoyosa itself.
Our tip: then the boulevard
Afterwards carry on to the boulevard with its colourful houses. For good paella we recommend restaurant Madrid.
What to bring
Shoes that can get wet, a towel, dry clothes and water. Check when booking whether water shoes are included, as sources differ.
