Experiencia 43 is the visitor tour at the Licor 43 factory on the Los Camachos industrial estate near Cartagena, and it is about a 35 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Spain's best-known liqueur comes from Cartagena, and at the Zamora Company factory you can go and see for yourself. The visit is called Experiencia 43 and starts in the museum, after which you walk into the production area. The longer version includes a cocktail workshop, and on the shorter tour you taste the original, the variations and two classic cocktails, with some snacks.
The Premium Tour takes about an hour and three quarters, in Spanish, English or German. The Masterclass takes about two and a half hours, in Spanish or English, and is for adults only. Both must be booked in advance. On weekends and public holidays the filling line stops, so if you want to see it running, go on a weekday.
Tours take place at Calle Silicio 10 on the Los Camachos estate, so not in the historic centre. The brand's restaurant is by the harbour, on Muelle Alfonso XII.
