El Castell de Guadalest is a mountain village on a rock with a castle and a view of a turquoise reservoir. It is about 1 hour 40 minutes by car from Lago Rosa Apartment.
Climb the steps and wander the streets, because that is the whole idea here. At the top of the rock stands the 11th century Castillo de San José, partly destroyed by two earthquakes and a blast. Below the village lies the reservoir, and from up high you get a wonderful view of it. Plenty of little shops and terraces will keep you from finishing too quickly.
Also in the village are the 18th century Iglesia de la Asunción, a manor house in the old part, the Museo Etnológico and a few museums with curious collections of miniatures. Allow half a day, even if you do not want to see every museum.
If you have time left, walk around the dam below, a quiet route with lovely scenery that also suits families. Leave early if you are combining this with the waterfalls, and start at the Algar so you have the afternoon for the village.
