Roda Golf is an 18-hole course (par 72, 6,177 metres from the whites) by Dave Thomas in San Javier, opened in 2006. It is about a 30 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
The land is gently undulating and bordered by dense Mediterranean scrub, so it pays to stay on the fairway. Designer Dave Thomas built in three large lakes and wide, rolling greens.
The other tees measure 5,819 and 5,244 metres, so shorter hitters can have a good round here too. The strong point is everything to do with practice. If you want to work on your swing during your trip, this is a good place to do it. The full name is Roda Golf & Beach Resort, and according to the club it is about a mile from the Mar Menor.
Academy and range
The golf academy works with Trackman, video analysis, Puttlabb and K-Vest 3D. The floodlit driving range has covered bays and Toptracer. There is also a putting and a chipping green.
