Río Safari Elche is an animal park with over 100 species between Elche and Santa Pola, and it is about a 45 minute drive from Lago Rosa Apartment.
An animal park set among about 4,500 palm trees has a different feel from most zoos. The region mentions white lions, Bornean orangutans, Angolan giraffes, chimpanzees, Bengal tigers and sea lions among others.
The park is divided into zones: the African savanna, the reptile cave, chimpanzee island, the orangutan sanctuary, Australia, the lion kingdom, an aviary and an educational farm. There are also exhibitions, go-karts, a play area and the chance to swim with sea lions.
The animal park and water park work differently. The animal park is open all year, and in summer Splash Park is added, for which earlier information says you pay a supplement. The record of 170,000 visitors in 2025 shows it can get busy.
